Tutors
Literacy Volunteers wants those individuals who would like to teach adults to read, to help adults improve their literacy skills, and to help adults learn basic life skills.
Training for tutors is provided by the local literacy volunteers organization under the auspices of Literacy West Virginia (LWV). LWV is an accredited affiliate of ProLiteracy America. Learning opportunities are provided for both adult basic education and for English as a Second Language for those who would like to become tutors. Opportunities are also available to teach basic math and financial literacy as basic life skills.
